ナショジオ×ハワード・ジョーンズがタッグ 環境保護伝えるミュージック映像が街頭に

写真拡大Photo by cinemacafe.net 地球環境について考える日として、毎年世界各地で様々な形でイベントやアクションが行われている、アースデー（4月22日）。日本でも1990年より毎年多くのアーティストが集ってコンサートを行うなど、徐々にそのコンセプトが定着してきている。そんな中、ドキュメンタリー専門チャンネル「ナショナル　ジオグラフィック　チャンネル」（以下ナショジオ）では、アースデーの啓蒙活動として、1980年代に一世風靡した英のテクノポップを代表するミュージシャン、ハワード・ジョーンズとタッグを組み、新たに「地球環境を考える」ミュージックビデオを制作、4月8日（木）よりチャンネル内、さらに12日（月）より街頭ビジョンにて放送される。英米両国で累計800万枚以上のセールスを記録する、エレクトリック・ポップ、テクノ・ポップの先駆者として名を馳せ、いまなお活躍する一方で、80年代から地球保護に対し積極的に貢献していることでも有名なジョーンズ。今回制作するミュージック・ビデオは、彼の新曲「Building Our Own Future」のミュージックビデオと、ナショジオがアースデーに因んで放送する海をテーマにした特集番組「海の神秘」の映像とを組み合わせたもの。映像と音楽の融合により環境保護を呼びかけていく。年々、エコ推進の声が高まる中、今回誕生した新たなプロジェクト。その仕上がりも気になるところだが、今後こうしたメディアの融合はどのような広がりを見せていくのか？　注目したい。アースデー特集「海の神秘」ナショナル　ジオグラフィック　チャンネルにて4月10日（土）・18日（日）・22日（木）放送公式サイト：http://www.ngcjapan.com/tv/lineup/prgmtop/index/prgm_cd/379
